The founder and owner of the project is Andras Baneth, public speaker, enterpreneur, strategic communication and public affairs expert. The design and implementation was done by Integral Vision’s team in cooperation with Andras.
We started the development autumn 2015 and made the site availabe for users half a year later. After a few months the number of registered users was over 1000.
Speakerhub.com has a couple of features, such as e-mail system, news & tips page, profile recommendation system, profile completeness, detailed search system.
About the project
The aim of the first 3 months was to support the sales with email campaigns and using social media channels to build a database holding the necessary number of speakers. In the second phase we worked on the profile page and the usability of listing pages so users can find the required persons as soon as possible. We use scrum method, we work in 2 weeks terms, and reconsider the results after each iteration. Based on feedbacks received from users, we made continuous improvements on the site.
Why Drupal was chosen
Drupal has always been strong in content-centered social projects. We needed a platform where we could create the basic features fast, in order to launch and test the site in an early stage of the development. Drupal makes it possible to create the required content types and listing pages which can be fine-tuned from iteration to iterarion during the development process. We used Drupal as a prototype tool which as a result of the improvements became the application itself.

The most important function of the website is the profile editor user interface where users can form their image. We offer our speakers a clear and easily editable platform where the large number of fields are arranged in a logical groups. For this we have used numerous contrib modules like Drag and Drop, Field Group and Manual Crop. We built on boostrap library during the development of the user interfaces and of course we payed attention to keep the 960 grid system frames. Based on comments from our customers, it also turned out to be a good decision to choose the design pattern of Infinite Scroll on the listing pages.
