Compose a mood board
You’re able to create your own mood board in one click, by use of hearts.
API for app and website
Besides the website, we built the app ‘Keukenidee’ together with our colleagues from E-sites. How it works? By use of a pin code, customers are able to work (anonymously) in the website and in the app on the same mood board. After creating a mood board, they can share their board with others. And, with just one click, the mood board (with additional data) can be send to other Bruynzeel Keukens stores. With this, creating and building your own kitchen is fun and easy!
About the project
Bruynzeel Keukens, a Dutch kitchen supplier, offers customers both online and offline a relaxed purchase and perfect aftercare, without a hassle. The kitchen needs to fit customers’ budget, meet requirements, suit personal preferences, and, last but certainly least, fits current interior.
Why Drupal was chosen
The focal point of Bruynzeel Keukens was content creation with a focus on inspiring visitors. On the one hand, it had to be a platform with inspirational content, and on the other hand, potential customers had to be easily reached. We chose Drupal because of its flexibility and adaptability.
The website of Bruynzeel Keukens uses different approaches to inspire (i..e, videos, (guest) blog articles, photography and an Instagram wall), but it also offers a large selection of products to inspire (i.e., kitchen setup ideas, kitchen appliances and cabinet doors). With this, customers get inspired easily and (subsequently) create their mood board effortlessly. When customers are satisfied with their creation, they’re able to make an appointment in the nearest Bruynzeel Keukens showroom. The appointment tool makes sure that the mood board is send to the store application (CRM). This gives the sales team the perfect opportunity to understand and comprehend the style of the potential customer. In turn, the customer enjoys a seamless integration between site and store.

We wanted to shine Bruynzeel’s corporate identity through, so we chose for the fully customizable theme.
We used the Drupal API (including the RestUI module) for the connection between the website and app. As a result, we were able to develop the integration between the app ‘Keukenidee’ and the website in little time.
Many pages strongly deviated in terms of layout, so we chose Display Suite to make life easier. With Display Suite, Bruynzeel Keukens is able to select 'view modes' and choose the preferred page layout. This was in line with the desired freedom of designing and building own pages.
