Ski.Vacations is a ski-trip planning platform offering ratings and reviews of ski areas, trails, lifts and local activities. After your trip, you can log everything you skied, rode, or visited and post your own reviews with photos and videos to share with friends and family.
A redesign of the existing Ski.Vacations platform — modernizing the design and UX while preserving its community-driven content: faceted discovery of ski areas, trails, lifts and local businesses; interactive maps with trail elevation; reviews, ratings and a personal trip-log; and user-submitted photos and videos. Relaunched on Drupal 11 with content migrated from the legacy site onto a containerized, CI/CD-driven infrastructure.
Why Drupal was chosen
The previous version of the site was already built on Drupal, so the engagement was a full redesign and UX refresh rather than a CMS reselection. Staying on Drupal lets us modernize the design while preserving the established content model, editorial workflows, and accumulated content/SEO equity — avoiding the cost and risk of migrating to a different platform.
