If you’re looking for a sporting event and it’s not on TV, chances are it’ll be on EverSport. This Silicon Valley startup was built on the premise that sports fans should have access to watch any sporting event they want online. Whether it’s College Hockey, Pro Basketball, Rugby, Kayaking, or Fight Sports, EverSport connects content creators with sports fans by streaming live and recorded broadcasts. With access to all types of sporting events, it’s important that their website provide a smooth digital experience for both fans and content owners.
Sports viewers needed an effortless way to find the specific event they wanted to watch. Content creators needed an easy way to upload their videos. And without an internal development team, EverSport needed an engineering partner to help them build the platform they envisioned.
About the project
Ultimately, the goal was to make everything on the EverSport website truly accessible. Our Drupal experts were ready to tackle the technological hurdles. Here’s what they needed:

Drupal Solutions Hit It Out Of The Park
Our team of digital engineers deployed Drupal based solutions to solve a great deal of the technical challenges this project faced. The fully customized EverSport website delivers a clean and organized user experience.
To start, we gave the EverSport website methodized dropdown menus and a back-end system that provides an organized category breakdown. This allows users to easily jump to the content they want from wherever they are on the site.
Drupal powers real time logic and automation so that consumers can filter the ever-changing content - whether it be upcoming, a live stream, or a replay of the event. Additionally, users can browse through the most popular or trending content.
EverSport events are highly integrated with social media. Beneath each event, a viewer can check out the social interaction and jump into the conversation on Facebook and Twitter.
Drupal was the perfect platform to act as a central hub for integrating 15+ third party systems, which is exactly what EverSport needed to deliver their unique online experience.
Teams and content managers can share externally hosted content in a flash with an embedding feature. Collecting revenue for paid events is made possible through a securely integrated paywall system. Robust analytics allow content owners to sift through data by individual event, teams, seasons, and series results. With these Drupal based web solutions, sports content owners all over the world are empowered to share sporting events with fans across the globe.
As an engineering partner, our team was able to deliver a powerful tangible product: a fully customized Drupal based platform. Equally important, we provided EverSport with efficiency. Every minute counts at a start-up and the list of tasks is simply daunting. Why Drupal was chosen
In 2014, EverSport came to Achieve Internet with a brilliantly disruptive vision. They envisioned a website in which sports fans would have access to a variety of sporting events that weren’t broadcast anywhere else. They visualized a platform where sports teams and content owners could easily upload videos of their events for their fans to watch. They had the vision and they asked us at Achieve Internet to be their engineering partner. The Drupal platform was chosen because of it's flexibility, performance, and integration capabilities. We were able to take a grand vision and build an interactive, media driven platform leveraging the Drupal framework.

Bootstrap comes with a lot of pre-baked in classes along with a grid system for responsiveness.
Views are the key to generating lists of content (i.e. featured content, popular content, events, etc.).
Views Megarow streamlines producing content.
Panels controls page layouts.
Ooyala is a good option to deliver video streamed content to the end user.
Chosen is a nice compromise between usability and the ability to quickly search and filter a long list of content.
Inline Entity Form makes it faster/easier to load up new content forms.
Services makes integrations faster and is used to communicate with 15+ integrations in this project.
