The Normandy Region launched the Millenium project to celebrate the thousandth anniversary of the birth of William the Conqueror in 2027 and promote Norman heritage across Europe.
The digital platform needed to bring together a large and constantly evolving programme of several hundred cultural events, while addressing audiences in France and across Europe.
The main challenges were to make this wealth of content easy to explore, provide an engaging experience across languages, and connect events with their geographical locations. The project also required strong accessibility and performance standards.

Our answer: a robust and scalable Drupal 10 platform
The site mainly offers events, news, discovery content and practical information.
On the back-office side, we have also simplified contributions from editorial teams thanks to tailored workflows.
UX and UI design
The design was based on the Millenium brand's graphic charter and the graphic use of the logo's motif.

Advanced integration of the Wemap API with automated event synchronization and display in list or interactive map view.
Multilingual
The portal is available in French, English and Italian.
Advanced search with SolR
Full indexing of content and Apache Solr search engine to quickly find events and editorial content.
