The Breema Center

The Breema Center is the international hub for the study and teaching of Breema Bodywork, Self-Breema, and the Nine Principles of Harmony.

Breema is the art of being present. It’s a practical philosophy that enables us to constantly increase our understanding of ourselves. Learning and practicing Breema bodywork and Self-Breema exercises, we develop an experiential relationship to and understanding of the Nine Principles of Harmony, which can eventually be applied to bring meaning to every activity and situation in life. Breema helps us realize our inherent potential by supporting our body, mind, and feelings to function naturally and in harmony with each other.

In 2019 they launched a complete rebuild of their site based on Drupal 8.7. This included all public-facing information (world-wide directory of Breema Instructors and Practitioners, events, information about Breema) and various private groups where users with higher levels of certification have access to different content.

In 2020, as the COVID pandemic unfolded, the Breema Center had to quickly pivot to exclusively teaching Self-Breema online, with no in-person Breema Bodywork classes happening anywhere. Drupal's flexible architecture made it simple to enhance the site to classify events as online or in-person. During the depths of isolation, free online Self-Breema classes sprung up in timezones around the world, offering an opportunity to be grounded and present in turbulent times. As people began to gather in person again, some classes have moved to a hybrid format, and others have once again resumed entirely offline. The website has easily moved through all the changes, providing support for students, practitioners and instructors around the globe.
